Red Curtain (English title: ‘Dancers’) - performed by Shanghai Dance Theatre - explores the dream to build and hold the career of a dancer. The piece creatively represents central aspects in dancers’ journey, like the physical dimension of their life and training, the personal and emotional growth as well as the hierarchical and sometimes political dimension of being a Chinese artist in this extraordinary art form.

Red Curtain has been awarded as the best production of the season 2016-17 in China.
